OUR HISTORY

Plans for the new look Waimarino Bulletin include a regular column under the heading "Our History" which will feature stories and pictures from our past. We feel sure that this series of reports and anecdotes will eventually become, in its entirety, a valuable historical review of the Waimarino's early development. However, as a newspaper we merely report the news ... we do not create it. So we are inviting those readers who have personal recollections of local incidents or events that were, for them, interesting, amusing, memorable, unique, tragic etc. to supply us with the basic information or give us a lead to follow and we will do the rest. We will acknowledge your contribution to the story if you so wish. Just give the Bulletin a ring at Ohakune 58-532 or Dennis Beytagh at 58-736.
