We've got our drag queen
The Waimarino's drag queen has been found. "Its" name is Miss Pussy Galore and he intends to win the Drag Queen Contest a t Waiouru's Desert Fair on March 12. That's the word of warning to the three other queens from Waiouru, Taihape and Turangi. Ruapehu Lions Club chairman Geoff Lovegrove is acting as personal manager for the local queer. He says the candidate, who was found after an appeal in last week's Bulletin, is 19 years old and a permanent resident of the Waimarino. He will not disclose the candidate's occupation, and says "what it does for a living is her business". Pictures of the four drag queens will be published in future editions of the Bulletin when public votes are sought in the fund-rais-ing stunt. However, inquiries about public appearances of the queens can be directed to Desert Fair publicity officer Garry Clayton (56-111 Waiouru) or Geoff Lovegrove (54-402 Raetihi).
