Stolen Land Rover sought

A Palmerston North private investigator has been in the Waimarino recently trying to find a Land Rover that was stolen from the Ohakune Junction between 2 and 6 January. Stewart Guy was appointed by State Insurance to investigate the disappearance of the 1983 model V8 Land Rover, valued at $33,000. The vehicle was the property of

Ruapehu Mountain Tours, which started operating a ski field transport service last year. Five vehicles were stolen during the first week of January, the other four having been recovered. Any information concerning the "stratos" blue Land Rover, registration number NE 1307, should be directed to Constable Wayne Mills at the Ohakune Police Station.
