Raetihi Police arrested a local man on a charge o f trespass at the Ruapehu Hotel on Thursday. The man will appear in the Ohakune District Court on 12 February. ★ ★★ An Ohakune man almost unwittingly aided car thieves to get away when he offered to help them start their car, broken down 2km north of the Tohunga Road intersection. The men were unable to start the vehicle and left it
on the side of the road. Enquiries are continuing to find the offenders. ★ ★★ Ohakune Police are investigating two separate burglaries of houses in Egmont Street over the past week.
