No demolition

Contrary to rumours the building housing the Waimarino Bulletin in Clyde St, Ohakune is destined for many more years use as a newspaper office (so we who work here hope!) Rumours that the building is scheduled to be demolished in the New Year are unfounded, according to Ohakune's Mayor Bill Taylor who layed to rest any lingering doubts about the future of the building at the council's recent meeting. Mr Taylor said that council have no intention of removing the building - either by demolishing it or relocating it somewhere else in the town. Whatever the rumours, the Waimarino Bulletin is here to stay for a while!
