Meet manager David Grigg

The new manager of Ohakune's Turners and Growers branch, David Grigg, i s young in years but certainly not lacking in experience in the field. Mr Grigg was promoted to the sole-charge position from the Palmerston North branch of Turners and

Growers where he was employed as a storeman cum clerk. Originally from a family dairy farm in Taranaki, Mr Grigg served for four years in the New Zealand Army

as a heavy trade driver at Army bases around the country that included an 18 month stint in Waiouru. Mr Grigg is happy to carry on the Turners and Growers tradition in the Waimarino and will be aiming to maintain the close client relations formed by former manager Laurie Weller who retired last week. The position involves the

day to day running of the branch depot in Old Station Road, as well as acting in an advisory capacity to local growers. Mr Grigg will be responsible for "selling" the company to market gardeners not already affiliated with Turners and Growers. He will also be in charge of the sale of horticultural supplies that will be available to clients, through the depot, early in the New Year.
