the two year job having considered the voluntary work when he resigned from teaching in 1985. He will be working with teachers and teaching English in the south o f Bhutan, which has parts of the Himalayas within its borders.

Mr T aylor said he decided to take the opportunity and thus opt out of local body politics to make way for fresh faces and new blood. He has been Mayor o f Ohakune for seven years having taken the job unnoposed after John Gould resigned.
