Raetihi Market Day

This Saturday is Raetihi Market day so get along to Seddon Street and get into the bargains! All Clubs and organisations are welcome to set up fund raising stalls on the day - just contact Robert Dowman at Raetihi Four Square. There will be novelty races for the children and Father Christmas will be giving away iceblocks and throwing a lollie scramble (you adults, please leave some for the littlies!). Father Christmas will be in the building next to Dekker Machinery on Seddon Street for pictures of himself with his favourite children. The Raetihi Vol-

unteer Fire Brigade will be taking children for free rides on the fire engines, both their vintage and the working one. Plenty of shops will have stalls on the day offering bargains, there will be a sausage sizzle, candy floss and lots of raffles. The Raetihi Businessmen's Association $500 Christmas raffle will be on sale as well as quick fire raffles run by the Ruapehu College Rugby Team who are raising money for a trip to Australia in 1988. At 11.30 a Hangi, prepared by members of the Ratana Church, will b e ready to eat. The Hangi will be next to the Golden Opossum.
