College given hunting

book

A book with the aim of encouraging young shooters to "start right" was presented to Ruapehu College by the Waimarino Branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association last week. College principal Ian Meredith accepted the book from deerstalker Trevor Fredericksen, of Raetihi. The book, called "The Young Hunter", was written by Graeme Marshal, who is a member of the Nelson branch of NZDA. The publishers of the book are Halcyon Publishing, o f Auckland.

Huntmg and shooting are two sports that every young person has an interest in, according to the publishers. They say many

young people have little idea of how to get started and that they hope the book will help them.
