Variety Of Activities To See And Do

There is something for everyone to enjoy in Taumarunui over the ten days of the 1987 festival starting on Friday November 20. According to Taumarunui's promotions officer, Miss Margie Snow, everyone will be amazed at the variety of things to see and do. In addition to jet boating the following activities are available: canoeing, farm visits (by appointment), golf, the Ultimate Game, scenic flights (fixed wing and helicopter), squash, horse trekking, museum visits to Nuku Nuku and Ohura, Shoebridge's gun collection, marae visits, guided car journeys and bumper cars. Miss Snow said the town was looking forward to welcoming visitors from outside the town. "I'm certain we have something in the festival programme that will please everyone," she said. If you require further information please call Miss Snow or information officer, Alice Mandeno on Taumarunui 7494 or write to P.O. Box 345 for a copy of the programme.
