A vehicle stolen from outside Nobby's Restaurant at the Ohakune Junction in the early hours of Sunday morning, was found by police on Monday. The car was extensively damaged and had been abandoned at Rangataua. ★ ★★ Overnight Friday, a rear wheel was removed from a car parked in the rear carpark of the Ohakune Hotel. Enquiries are continuing. ★ ★★ The rider of a motorbike which left the Parapara Highway about 20km south of Raetihi and plunged over a bank on Friday night was nowhere to be found when police arrived at the scene. A search is still on for the owner of the vehicle. ★ ★★ H.E. Webb Motors in Seddon Street, Raetihi was the target of burglars who broke into the premises sometime over the weekend. A list of stolen property was being compiled at the time the Bulletin went to press. ★ ★★ A house in Plunket Street, Raetihi was broken into on Sunday afternoon and $60 cash taken. Police enquiries are continuing.
