Dr Jones leaves
Doctor Jonathan Jones was the recipient of Raetihi Borough Council's thanks at their meeting last week. Dr Jones left for England recently after completing his term as relieving doctor in the Raetihi practice. Acting mayor John Compton said Dr Jones' efforts had been appreciated by the people of Raetihi and the Waimarino. Dr Corbett, who is expected to take up the Raetihi practice permanently, is not expected until the end of November. Mayor Garrick Workman has written to Dr Corbett asking him to confirm his plans to make some weekend visits to Raetihi before he takes up his position.
