Tainui accommodation units approved

An application to use 10 existing units in Tainui Street for the purpose of holiday accommodation and to erect a sign on the site advertising the accommodation was approved by the Ohakune Borough Council at a recent town planning meeting. Council approved the application by Mr O. Rokstad subject to several conditions: Mr Rokstad will be required to install a fence along the side of the property which compli-

ments the existing fence line on the section and will be responsible for the formation, metalling and sealing of the parking areas and access aisles, to the satisfaction of Council. Council ruled that there be no further residential development on the site and that any landscaping be to their satisfaction. In approving the application, Council was of the opinion that the development was not likely to have any effect beyond the immediate site.
