FUTURE OF WAIKUNE
The following advertisement appeared in the Public Notices section of the Wanganui Chronicle last Tuesday. "The owners of the vacated Waikune Prison and all interested parties are advised that a meeting will be held in the Anglican Church H all, Raetihi, on 12 September at 1.00pm to discuss its future use and to elect a trust. Signed: P. Kurukaanga." The Bulletin can offer no further information about this former Justice Department property. If you want to find out more we suggest you attend the meeting as we intend to do.
