WATER SUPPLY WARNING
National Park residents are warned against illegally connecting their water supplies to the new water reticulation system before the advised time. A spokesperson for Odlin and Sowry, the engineering firm installing the system, expressed concern about the health factor as some people have already connected onto the main supply.
The new pipes are unsterile and must be scoured out with chemicals before water can be circulated and only a registered plumber is permitted to make connections to households. The spokesman said the main controlling valve will not be tumed on until the system is thoroughly cleansed, as a preventative measure.
