Fresh Narcs
Audiences in Auckland and the Ruapehu region will soon be treated to performances by re-ener-gised band "The Narcs". After almost a year lay off from live work, the band is writing and rehearsing for a month long tour as a prelude to going back into the studio. There they will work with Kiwi-Londoner Chris Thompson on a new album for the up coming summer. Now self managed, band members have each pursued different projects of late. Between appearances with the Khutze Band guitarist . Andy Dickson and bassist Tony Waine toured America and England together. Meanwhile drummer Steve Clarkson has been playing
with Wayne Gillespie and, more recently, Brand New Day. Keyboardist Liam Ryan has been writing and recording film music and touring here and overseas with a number of well known artists. The bringing together qf the Narcs winter show promises a season of tight and exciting Down Under original dance music. Strong singles and hits from their albums have won the band many fans nationwide and in Australia. With some new songs and" fresh production the Narcs are looking forward to doing it live again. The Narcs will appcar at Ohakune's Hot Lava on Friday 21 and Monday 24 August and at the Chateau Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August.
