One Year In Business
ONE of Taumarunui's more recently established businesses celebrated their first birthday on August 1. Bike Torque is a father and son business, owned and operated by Roy and Russell Josiah. The motorcycle specialists in Taumarunui deal in Suzuki and Kawasaki models.
Russell Josiah describes their first year as "successful" and "better than expectations". He says for the second year, they plan to "sell more bikes than the previous year", and are planning to expand. However, Russell would not give away any more secrets at this stage. Bike Torque's staff of four
celebrated the company's first anniversary by going out to dinner at a local restaurant. There is also a birthday offer to the public. A tailor made leather jacket valued at $350 is being given away with every 1987 Suzuki LS 650 custom mode/ bought during August.
