$100,000 Luxury Motor Home Hits New Zealand Market

FROM the manufacturers of New Zealand's "Popemobile" comes the country's most luxurious motor home ever — at just a mere $100,000! H The motor home, made by CI Munro Ltd of Otorohanga, was unveiled for the first time at Auckland's Easter Show. Marketed as "The F.xecutive" the motor home is the top-of-the-range addition to Cl Munro's range of leisure vehicles, and aimed at the buyer who wants everything, including the proverbial kitchen sink! Modelled on American£tyle recreational vehicles (RVs) "The Executive" is designed specifically for New Zealand road conditions.

CI Munro has applied all the knowledge gained as the country's leading motor home and caravan builders for more than 30 years to make "The Executive" one of the most talked about vehicles launched this year. Major options include colour television on a swivel stand, with a directional aerial that can be wound up and changed from inside the vehicle, microwave oven, fridge / freezer, gas sto ve and oven, rangehood, vanity unit, shower, automatic mechanical step, solar air vents, thermostatically controlled heating - and even a flush toilet! Several national camper van rental companies have already shown interest in "The Executive", which is expected to find ready acceptance from American

and Japanese tourists. "The Executive" can sleep four in standard configuration, but there are optional layouts that can increase this number as required. External storage lockers can hold all the necessary equipment for relaxed outdoor living, such as barbecue, table and chairs. With a price tag of around $100,000 for the model which was displayed at the Easter Show, it's not likely to become a common model on New Zealand roads. CI Munro see the most likely private purchasers as wealthy retired folk, or dual income family groups. He is also hopeful of worthwhile export saies to Australia and the South Pacific:
