Overnight Sunday three sweatshirts were removed from a clothesline on a property in Miro Street, Ohakune. Enquiries are continuing. ★ ★★ A 30-year old Tangiwai man will be appearing in the Ohakune District Court on 27 August on a charge of theft after being disturbed attempting to steal petrol from a Karioi farm property early Sunday morning. The offender ran off when he was confronted by the landowner but was later apprehended by police. ★ ★★ Ohakune Police have in their possession an assortment of Lost and Found property, including a Rest Room sign and a ladder both found in the Ohakune area in the last fortnight. A police spokesman said they would like to return the items to their rightful owners.
