Waimarino Golf

Results of play for Sunday 9 August: Sponsors for the day were G.F. Dixon Engineering and Robin's Nest. Today's event was the Manson Cup and this was a

teams event between Taumarunui and Waimarino clubs. The teams consisted of twelve men and six women from each club. The winners were the home team, Waimarino. The mens team was: A. Berridge, D. Windle, B. Drinkwater, J. Ennis, G. Imhoff, S. Magee, N. Clarke, N. Donghi, P. Goldfinch, A.R. Brown, T. Donghi, J. Hammond. The women's team was: D.Deighton, B. Berridge, H. Woollett, E. Rush, S. Bright, N. Cranston. The Manson Cup contest is an annual event played alternatively at Taumarunui and Waimarino. This year the competition followed a special dinner to commemorate the founder, Hal Manson and 25 years in our new clubhouse. The dinner was well attended by locals and a number of Taumarunui golfers and was a great success. Sunday 16 August is the' first round of the club championships. Two's were scored by H. Woollett, N. Hall, B. Powell, B. Berridge, G. Allerby, A. Berridge, R. Parsons, T. Flintoff, G. Ennis.
