Riders quizzed on horses

A delicious Pot Luck Tea was enjoyed by Ohakune and Raetihi Pony Club members and approximately 25 parents and supporters at the Waimarino Pony Club Quiz on Saturday evening. The questions, put to the five teams comprising four children in each team, covered a wide range of topics including riding skills, horse health, anatomy, breeds, problem ponies and equipment. The winning team was captained by Tania Taylor with Katrina Wilson, Rosemarie Clark and Vannessa Enright. Pony Club instructors were most impressed with the standard of answers and

it promises to be an exciting evening on 22nd August, when the King Country Pony Club Quiz will be held at the senior studies block, Ruapehu College. Teams from Taumarunui, Kaitieke, Ongarue, Ohakune and Raetihi will be competing.
