Four Waimarino electorates

There are four electorates represented within the Waimarino Bulletin's distribution area and 16 candidates standing for those seats in Saturday's general election. In the King Country Electorate, the largest of the four, the candidates are: Bolger - the present member for King Country and leader of the National Party; Menefy - Labour; Morris - Democrats. In the Rangitikei electorate which includes a large part of the Waiouru Military Camp, the five candidates are: Beetham - Democrats; Jensen - No Confidence; Marshall - National; Martin

McGillicuddy Serious; Srhoj - Labour. Most of the civilian area of Waiouru falls within the King Country electorate. Standing for the Western Maori seat which covers most of our distribution area are: Gilbert Democrats; Rickard - Mana Motuhake; Towers National; Wetere - (the present member for the electorate) - Labour. In the Eastern Maori electorate, in which there are a small number of voters north of the Manganui a Te Ao River who fall within the Bulletin area , the candidates are: Gray National; Ngakuru Democrats; Reedy - Mana Mohutake; Tapsell - (the present member) - Labour.
