Decision on grazing

The matter of goats being grazed in the Borough of Raetihi was raised at the Borough's recent monthly council meeting. Although it is illegal to graze the animals within the Borough, the law has not been enforced by Council and a number of ratepayers keep goats. No written complaints have been received about goats, according to Mayor Garrick Workman. The matter is to be discussed at committee level and the decision on the future of goats within the Borough will be made public at the next full council meeting.
