Young rugby player has All Black ambitions
A budding young rugby player from National Park may have what it takes to be one of tomorrow's All Blacks and his potential was recognized recently by, a prestigious rugby training team. Ayron Bowring, 13, a Form Two pupil at National Park school was one of four promising youngsters chosen from the King Country Area to play for the Central Roller-Mills Under-14 rugby team. Named after its fo under, Roller Mills boasts of training such great name All Blacks as Grant Fox and Colin 'Pinetree' Meads. Ayron will attend a rigorous one-week training camp at Otorohanga during the August/September school holidays, followed by a knock-out tournament to be held at Waitemata, Auckland between other Roller-Mills teams from around New Zealand. The teams will compete for the Roller-Mills Shield.
