Health rooms set up in Raetihi
The Waimarino's Community Health Rooms are vacant and ready to be used, according to Public Health Nurse Leigh Berry.
The house in Queen Street, Raetihi, -originally the Public Health Nurse's residence, has recently become available for use by community groups and for public meetings.
Mrs Berry has plans to either convert one of the bedrooms into an office or else use it for storage. The other bedroom will eventually be made into a counselling office. The health rooms have a comfortable lounge and kitchen facilities, already being used by Raetihi's P5 group and the Waimarino Community Health Watch Committee. Mrs Berry envisages the facilities being used by such groups as senior citizens, Weight Watchers, Well Women and the Young Mothers' Support Group, also marriage counselling, budget advice and many other organizations.
