Board member's work acknowledged
The work of Ruapehu College Board of Governors representative and Wanganui Education Board member Peggy Frew was acknowledged at last week's Ohakune Borough Council meeting. Mrs Frew has resigned from the board and was in-
vited to the council meeting for thanks from the council for her work on the two boards. "You've brought to the roles your significant expertise not only as a •teacher but as a concerned resident of your community and I think your years of service are exemplary and to your credit" said Mayor Bill Taylor. Council and Mrs Frew also acknowledged the work of councillor Margaret Horn as council's board representative and to Mrs Janet Martin as a Representative of Ohakune Parents. New Ruapehu College Board of Governors members are to be appointed soon, with Councillor Ellen Gould as the Ohakune Borough representative.
