Ohakune Library report

As so many puzzles are coming back to the library with pieces missing a charge of $3.00 per piece will be levied. Please tell the Librarian when pieces are missing as it will save sending a bill. As from 17 th July Friday night opening will be from 5.30 to 7.30pm. There are new books gradually appearing on the shelves. Among these are board books for the very young, picture books, adventure game books and reading books for five year-olds to teenagers. Adult books include Wilbur Smith's "Rage", P.D. James' "A Taste for Death", Vivian Stuart's

"The Goldseekers" as well as various New Zealand books and non-fiction. One hundred books from the Natiofial Library will be on the shelves this week, including a collection on interior decoration. There is a new slot in the door for returning library books after hours. The library has about 50 books on Japan on loan from Palmerston North. These books cover almost eyery aspect of Japanese life including politics and religion, art and crafts, cooking, wrapping gifts, the after-effects of the bombs, stone gardens, sculpture and travel. The books are here till the end of October so please enjoy them while you can.
