Restaurateur changes place
Franz Brandl , at left, enjoys a drink with "Hobbit" proprietor Phil Jackson. Franz has just taken over the lease to the "Hobbit" restaurant and bar. Franz is known to many in the area as a restaurateur , running "Parklands" and the "Top Cafe" at Turoa for several ski seasons. Contrary to popular belief Phil Jackson is not taking early retirement but will continue to run the accommodation section of the "Hobbit".
