Entertainment win from garage
The same week that Eva Kaata had planned to buy a video cassette recorder the Cedar Service Station and the Europa Oil company dealt her a card that was a winner. About four weeks ago one of Eva's three children was given a "strike oil" promotion card at Cedar after buying some sweets and it turned out to be the one the family needed to win a video. To win a prize in the oil company's promotion customers had to collect three cards each representing a section of the prize sought. Europa customers were given a card with each purchase from the service stations Eva and her family were waiting on the centre section card for the VCR. They had collected about 50 cards before the winning one turned up. The pleasure of handing over the prize to Eva went to Cedar Automotive fuel tank replenishment technician Jude Freeguard, who spent her last day working at Cedar last Thursday. Jude is leaving Ohakune for Western Australia.
