Deerstalkers competition
Results of annual competitions for the Waimarino Branch of the NZ Deerstalkers Association are as follows: Best head of all species: R. Rowles (Chamois). Best Chamois: R. Rowles 22 4/8 (Douglas Score). Best Red Deer: F. Ioannidis 1 1 pointer 225 6/8 D.S. Best of all Deer species: F. Ioannidis (red). Best colour photograph: G. Brebner (Kea ).Best colour slide: G. Brebner (Avalanehe, Scone Basin S.I.) Best photo or
slide taken on a hunting trip: B. Bishop (Whitetail Deer Stewart Island). Best overall performance on shooting range: F. Ioannidis. The Waimarino Branch also won the recently revived shoot between Wanganui and Waimarino. The shoot was held at Fields Track Station with an excellent turn out of members and barbecue to follow. Recently elected officers for the 1987-88 year are: President C. Parkinson, Sec/Treas T. Fredericksen.
