Does He still heal today?
Does Jesus Still Heal Today? Over the past three years I have met many people with various sicknesses, illnesses and physical complaints. This has greatly concerned me and caused me to study the Bible for some answers.
Here are some of my conclusions. 1. In the beginning God created all things perfectly. There was no sin, sickness or death. Genesis 1:18,31. 2. Through Adam and Eve's disobedience sin, sickness and death came into human experience. Man came under God's curse. Genesis 2:17, 3:1419. 3. Though God banished Adam and Eve from the garden He gave them the promise of a saviour who would make it possible for man to return to God and receive healing. Genesis 3:15. 4. Before Jesus the saviour came to earth God healed people but this was only occasionally . Numbers 21:6-10, 2 Kings 5:1-14. 5. When Jesus walked on the earth He healed all who came to Him and probably this happened every day of His three years of ministry. Matthew 8:16, 12:15, Luke 4:40.
6. Jesus' death and resurrection has made it possible for people to be healed today. Isaiah 53:46, Mark 16:18. 7. The early Church saw many healings even people raised from the dead. All this by the power and authority of Jesus' name. Acts 4:16, 9:40-42. 8. Today we see many healings in accordance with God's will and according to the words of Jesus. John 14:12. Does Jesus still heal today? You judge for vourself.
