Waiouru "small steps"

A 'Small Steps' programme for children from preschool age up to 6 years is currently underway in Waiouru. The programme is run by the Ministry of Transport and looks at road safety from a child's point of view. Wanganui Traffic Officer Val Gordon is undertaking the programme in Waiouru. Parents are invited to attend two evening lectures later in June where they will receive posters and literature advising how they can help their children to be safe near traffic. A film and following discussion group also feature at the lectures.
