Golf club hosts tournament

The Waimarino Golf Club held its annual 72 hole tournament on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May. The winner of the championship group was Paul Fitzgerald from Rangitikei, a former member of the Waimarino club and the first win for him in this event. Runner-up was T. Iversen. The championship flight was won by John Summerhays. The Makaranui group winner was L. Coombe, runner-up T. Tapp and the

flight G. Allerby. Group A was won by S. Magee, runner-up T. Spry aftd the flight was won by B. Hannan. Group B was won by J. Moka, runner-up P. Williams and the flight was won by T. Donghi. Group C was won by A. Berridge, runner-up G. Imhoff and the flight was won by M. Edwards. Group D was won by K. Summerhays, runner-up T. Frederick senior and the flight was won by C. Turner. Group E was won by N. Donghi, runner-up C. Allerby and the flight by J.

Mcllroy. Top senior qualifier was J. Gattey. Saturday Medal — J. Ennis from D. Benson and T. Donghi from T. Spry and T. Frederick Jnr. Sunday — Four ball best ball competition R. Parsons, M. Wells.
