Ohakune/Karioi beat Waiouru 20-16 at Ohakune on Saturday. Richard Matthews, Bruce Cranston, Kellick Harding and Richard Manson scored trys for Ohakune/Karioi. Lachlan Harding converted two trys. D. Hill scored two trys and Danny Boyd a conversion for the Waiouru tcam. Ohakune led 6-3 at halftime and had a slrong 20-6 lcad towards the middlc of the sccond half but the
army side fought back wcll. Huia beat Raetihi 12-7 in thcir gamc. Paul Hckenui kicked four pcnalty goals for Huia. Hemi Rapana scored a try and Tom Waara kicked a pcnalty goal for Raetihi. Utiku Old Boys went down to Taihape Pirates 10-6 in thcir gamc. Dean Noble scored a try and Ken Cribb kicked two drop goals for Pirates. Chris Karatau kicked two pcnalty goals for Utiku OB.
