Anglicans to gather for mission

A twenty four hour watch is to be held at St Mary's church in Raetihi this month. The watch is part of a mission to enliven the faith of anglicans in the Waimarino and is to be held over Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May. During the watch parishioners will keep watch in the church with prayer, meditation and reading. At least two people will be keeping

watch at all times from 10.30am Saturday to 10.30am Sunday, with services being held at times during the mission watch. An Easter paschal candle will burn throughout the 24 hours. The watch is also to prepare for the second session of the mission scheduled for early June. Captain Peter Alfrey and his team, who were here for last year's anglican mission will take part again this year.
