Raetihi children learn about ANZAC's

Raetihi School's tradition of holding a special Anzac day service took place this year on Friday. The morning service was attended by the entire school and was officiated by guests from the Waiouru Army Training Group. Members of the Raetihi Returned Services Associa-

tion Rohan Cuff and Don Satler and army personnel Warrant Officer Class 1 Tony Rogers, Staff Sergeant Mike Maxwell and Sergeant Bob Trundle attended the service. Sgt Trundle wore an exWorld War I uniform of the 16th Waikato Regiment, borrowed from the Army Museum.

The school sang 'God Defend New Zealand' , followed by a recitation by Glenn McLean, with the traditional sounding of the Last Post and Reveille during the ceremony. The raising of the flag was performed by Darren Griffin.
