Queries may cost
Members of ihe public may be asked to pay for information researched by the Waimarino County Council office staff in Juture. A $10 minimum fee may be charged when information requested takes time to research. County Clerk Hope Vaughan said that staff can spend up to five hours a day in the ski season handling enquiries from prospective property buyers. Staff at the office will decide who will be charged and hy how much depending on the time involved. People visiting the area who repeatedly request information are the main targets for the charges.
