Results of the Ruapehu College Athletics held on the 12th and 16th March included a large number of new school records. They are as follows: Junior Boys 100m: Maya Patterson, New Record 13.10 (Old Record 13.35); Javelin: Maya Patterson. 34.31 (33.85). Junior Girls Triple Jump: Lorinda Stephens. 8.59 (8.53) Intermediate Boys High Jump: Alan Prince, 1.60 (1.60); Long Jump: Alan Prince. 5.59. (5.54); Javelin: Alan Prince, 37.80 (35.84); Triple Jump: Regan Sue. 11.07 (11.06). Intermediate Girls 1500m: Vanessa Roach, 6.00 (6.04); High Jump: Suzy Mcllroy. 141(1 .04); Triple Jump: Janine Stephens. 9.90 (9.60). Senior Boys 800m: Kerry Baker. 2.19.00 (2.19 09); 400m: Adam Farmer. 54.44 (55.81); 3000m: Bruce Francis. 10.34(10.41).
