TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1977 Ohakune Borough Council Summary of objections to proposed change 82/16 to the Ohakune Borough District Planning Scheme. The Ohakune Borough Council hereby gives notice that the full content of all objections received to Change 82/1 6 may be inspected at the Ohakune Borough Council Office, Miro Street, Ohakune, at any time when it is open to the public. All persons who wish to object to or support any objection or submission must do so in writing on Form D set out in the First Schedule of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978, before 4.00pm on Wednesday 29 April 1987. Copies of Form D are available from the Ohakune Borough Council. A copy of each such notice shall be served forthwith on the objector by the opposer or the supporter of the objection, as the case may be. Following is a summary of the subject matter of objections received by the Council to the Changes: OBJECTOR Minister of Works and Development Subject Matter Objects to the provisions relating to advertising in the Rural and Recreation Zones on the grounds that illuminated signs could be erected and requests that an additional clause be added excluding such signs from these zones. OBJECTOR Commissioner of Crown Lands Subject Matter Objects to the provisions relating to advertising in the Recreation Zone on the grounds that illuminated signs could be erected and requests that the ordinances be amended to allow for more control over signs in that zone, particularly illuminated signs. OBJECTORS R. J. & S. M. Bollard Subject Matter Object to the change on the grounds that the intention of the existing ordinances is sound and requests that the existing ordinances be retained orvaried in a mannerthat would achievethesame purpose. OBJECTORS Ohakune Shopping Centre Ltd, M. S. Gould Trust & J. T. Gould Subject Matter Object to the change on the grounds that it is in contravention with the Council's Objectives and Policies and there is already adequate provision in the District Scheme for the erection of non conforming signs if, in the opinion of Council, they are justified. They request that the basic principles relating to Advertising be retained in the Scheme but that the wording be changed to make it more flexible and to improve the consistency of the Scheme.
