THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1977 WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT SCHEME Public Notification of Proposed Change to District Scheme The Waimarino County Council has prepared Changes 86/3 and 87/1 to the District Scheme covering the matters listed below. The scheme changes may be inspected at the County Office, Duncan Street, Raetihi and the Ohakune Borough Council, Miro Street, Ohakune at any time when these places are open to the public. Forms for submissions and objections (Form C) are available at the Council's office. Submissions and objections to the changes or any part thereof may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public interest. Submissions and objections shall be in writing in Form C prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or the like effect and shall be lodged at the office of the Council (PO Box 74, Raetihi) not later than 4.00pm on Friday, 1 May 1 987. At a later date every submission and objection will be open for public inspection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be entitled to do so. CHANGE 86/3 The change provides for home occupations as a predominant use in the Rural A/A1 zones, Rural B and Rural D zones subject to performance criteria which limit where the activity may be carried out, the number of persons employed, and prohibits any exterior display of the home occupation to ensure that there is no detrimental effect on the amenity of the neighbourhood or variation from the residential character of the principal building. The change provides for the sale of farm produce and home industry products produced on the property as a predominant use in these zones on sites adjoining County Roads. Certain conditions must be met relating to siting of the selling point, access and parking provisions and advertising. CHANGE 87/1 This change provides for a Residential zone at Rangataua. It is dependent on the proposed sewerage reticulation system being installed and becoming operative. The zone covers existing residential development and vacant land between Kaka Street and Nei Street. It is Councils intention thatfuture development will be provided for in a manner which does not destroy the towns present amenity and rural characterisitcs. The change provides for normal landuses and subdivision. Dated at Raetihi this day of 1987. H.N. Vaughan, County Clerk for the WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL I
