Run lots of fun

Around 200 enthusiastic youngsters and adults including Mums with

prams donned T-shirts, shorts and running shoes on Sunday morning to

take part in the Ohakune Plunket Fun Run, as a part of the Ohakune Borough's Jubilee celebrations. Registration was taken at 9.15am at the giant carrot and the run begain at 10am. This gave the runners ample time to study maps of the course. A purely fun occasion, there were no prizes awarded for winners of age sections but a number of spot prizes were given out during the event. For flagging competitors there was a water stall set up at the intersections of Shannon and Miro Streets and a drink stand at the finish line.
