Plunket news
The Raetihi Plunket Society will hold a coffee morning in March with guest demonstrators Adrienne Maru, Linda Haitana and Chris Windle. The society has added a candy-floss machine to its range of equipment for hire to raise funds. A fund-raising is planned for April or May in the form of a shop-day selling clothes made by volunteers. People with knitting machines are asked to help make children's jerseys and cardigans. Plunket will provide the wool to volunteers, who can contact Donna Journeaux, Phone 54-759, for information. Plunket would also like to hear from sewers and hand knitters. Kathy Dobbs is the contact for sewers at 54-072. The shop-day will be held if there is sufficient interest, and will also have cakes, preserves and second hand clothes for sale. Plunket is holding its annual general meeting this year on 28 April, and is looking for new and enthusiastic women to help run the local sub-branch.
