Descendents of Florence and Alexander Murdie, met in Ohakune recently for a family reunion. Florence and Alex and their family came to New Zealand in 1924 to join Alex's brother and settled on Ohakune. About 75 descendents and spouses attended the reunion, which was celebrated at the Ohakune Club and the Lions Den. Florence and Alex's son George and his wife Betty still live in Ohakune as well as their two sons and their families. The other descendents live in various parts of the country.
