"Video Bill" tracked down
'Video Bill is alive and well and working in Sydney according to the Bulletin's roving reporter who met him and his family in 'Oz' last week. Bill Adams, who with his family Kim and Kylie, is very much part of Ohakune's winter scene, will be over here later this week to involve himself again in the life and times of this local community as it celebrates 75 years as a borough. Video Bill will be here for a week to do some filming to promote Turoa Skifield's Beechers Lodge and to record Ohakune's official Jubilee celebrations and associated activities (see Public Notices). He told our reporter that he is looking forward to becoming part of the local summer scene. He already feels so much a part of the Waimarino community, spending as he does with his family, up to five months of each year, in and around the mountain. Unfortunately, on this short summer visit, Kim and Kylie won't be with him. In Sydney Video Bill is, to use an Australian Expression, 'flat out like a lizard drinking'! In addition to his own freelance business — known as 'A-Pro-Video Production', he works as a TV cameraman for Sydney's Channel 10.
On the two days prior to our reporter meeting him he had been filming some night scenes until 4.00am but seemed to be thriving on hard work. He expects, and hopes, to be almost as busy over here during his short stay.
