Is there a God?

There is in human existence no more profound a question demanding an answer. Is there a God? is the question that must be asked by every human being, and the answer is far reaching in its effects. In the past our country has acknowledged its belief in God. Our laws were based on Gods laws, most people went to Church and most had some knowledge of the Bible. Today much of this has changed. There are a growing number of New Zealanders who don't believe in God and an even greater number who don't attend Church. So how can we know that

there is a God? Creation is a good place to start. David of David and Goliath fame once wrote "The Heavens are telling of the glory of God and their expanse is declaring the works of His hand." What a beautiful place Ohakune is. The mountain, the park, the bush, the sun in the morning and moon at night, creation tells us that there is a God. God has visited us. God is not the Creator who stays out of the affairs of man. No, He has sent His Son to show us that God exists and wants to relate to us in love. Paul once wrote God after He spoke long ago to the Fathers in the prophets in

many portions and in many ways in these last days has spoken to us in His Son. The experiences of people is another way of knowing that there is a God. A young man in prison for life. Jesus appeared to him in his cell. He gave his life to God, received forgiveness for his crime and now has a future. A women, an alcoholic, found freedom from her problem through commitment to Jesus Christ and prayer in His name. Another young man driven to attempt suicide found hope through calling out to Jesus. Is there a God? What do you think?
