College fundraising going well

Fund-raising for a shelter for Ruapehu college's mini bus is doing well with $2500 in hand so far. The College PTA is hoping to raise $4000 having started at the beginning of last year. The mini bus is used by the school for sports and school outings, and will be housed in the shelter to be built near the college engineering room. Two raffles held before Christmas raised $1000 for the project thanks to local businesses. The PTA raffled two Christmas hampers made up of goods donated to the cause. The business houses that generously donated goods were:

Speirs, Junction Ski Shop, Ohakune Photo Pharmacy, The Sheepskin Shop, Ohakune Butchery, Ohakune T. V. Electrical, Ohakune Sports & Gifts, Machinery Supplies, Factory Fashions, Covers Upholstery, Kunicraft, New World Supermarket, Little's Menswear.
