• School Certificate exams have been completed and Bursary Exams are in progress. • On the last day of attendance at school recently, the 7th Formjoined thestafffor an informal morning tea in the staff room. • All reports for senior students have now been sent home to parents. • The Senior Whai korero (Maori Speech making) was recently completed. First place: Maxine George; 2nd: Mark Cribb; 3rd: Melissa Coley. Speeches were judged by Mr Mathew Mareikura. • Option choice for 1 987 has now been completed for 4th Forms. Third form will be making option choices next week. Should there be any concern parents should not

hesitate to contact the College. • The College has a number of good used Commodore 64 computers for sale. See advertisement elsewhere in this issue. • P.T.A. is running a Christmas raffle, but has postponed the 'Batons — up' evening until next year. • Junior impromptu speeches and Whaikorero will be held this week. • Community Service Day for Junior's will be held Friday 5 December, when 3rd and 4th Form students work in the community as a service to express gratitude for the support the community gives the College throughout the year. • A team of athletes from the College is to attend Mt.

Cook Athletics in Hastings 6-7 December. • Clearance day for senior students at Ruapehu College will be Friday 5 December. All Form 5, 6 and 7 students are required to attend College at 9.00am to return textbooks and class materials used during the year. Students who are leaving will complete leaving formalities and returning students will complete clearances for the year. The school magazine and otherdocumentsand certificates will be available. Students are not required to remain at the College after their clearances are complete. Most Details will be finished by the end of the morning.
