WANGANUI DISTRICT COURT
Cliff James Leed, 30. mechanic of Raetihi, appeared in the Wanganui District Court to which he had been remanded from the Ohakune District Court last month on a charge of possessing a home-made axehandle spiked with nails and two molotov cocktails at his home on 28 June. Chief District Court Judge Trapski said that he had nothing but contempt for those who had harrassed and threatened defendant and his wife on that night. Leed had never been in trouble before. In all circumstances he was placed under supervision for I2 months. Counsel: Stephen Ross.
