Junior speakers
Waiouru Primary School held their end-of-year speech contest recently with the following results:
Seniors: 1 Jarrod Longley. 2 Susie Flavell, 3 Phillipa Dodson, 4 Lauren Baguley, 5 Wendv Saddler. Juniors: 1 Jenny Nelson, 2 Simon Hollander, 3 Nathan Soper, 4 Nathan Davies, 5 Jenny Lynne Teatonga. Judges of the contest were Lt. Commander Jackson of HMNZS Irirangi. Mrs Birch. Mrs Martin and school principal Tauri Morgan. The first three placegetters in the senior competition. Jarrod Longley. Susie Flavell and Phillipa Dodson travelled to Taihape for an annual oratory competition run by the Taihape l.ions Club.
