Netball prizes awarded

The Waimarino Netball Association held their end-of-season prizegiving at the Ohakune Club recently and were bitterly disappointed at the poor turnout for the occasion. Of the 13 registered teams. just three teams made the effort to attend. The prize-giving continued however, with all those present

in good spirits. This season saw Karioi carry off the cup for the best A-grade team. as well as the cup for the best overall performance. The first round for the Bgrade was won by Checkers and the second round by Ramblers. United won the closingday cup and Raetihi earned the 'most sporting' team cup.
